The Mid-Autumn Festival which also known as the Mooncake Festival. This annual festival falls on the fifteenth day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar and is called the Mid-Autumn Festival because it falls in the middle of the three months of autumn.

During this festival, there are customs such as viewing the moon, worshipping the moon, eating mooncakes, drinking osmanthus wine, etc. Also, because of the saying that the moon is full and people are reunited, many people take this day to reunite with their family members, and it is also a day to miss their relatives and hometowns.

In most areas of China, people usually gather their family together during Mid-Autumn Festival. One of the traditions is to admire the moon together on the Moon Festival.

It is a common custom to give mooncakes on Mid-Autumn Festival, and nowadays there are various shapes and flavors of mooncakes on the market, but most of the mooncakes are still made into round shapes to express the meaning of reunion.
