The World's Second Longest Tunnel——The Channel Tunnel

The Channel Tunnel (French: Le tunnel sous la Manche; also nicknamed and shortened to Chunnel) is a 50.5-kilometre (31.4 mi) rail tunnel linking Folkestone, Kent, in the United Kingdom, with Coquelles, Pas-de-Calais, near Calais in northern France, beneath the English Channel at the Strait of Dover. To May 7, 1994 the official opening,it is the world's second longest tunnel, the world's largest construction projects used private capital , which lasted more than eight years, at a cost of about 100 billion pounds (about 15 billion US dollars). The tunnel greatly shortens the round-trip time from Europe to United Kingdom , which only spends 35 minutes one way.
When it comes to the application of Sinorock® self drilling anchor bar in tunneling, the construction of tunnel and its broken and water surrounding rock has always been one of the important factors that affect the tunnel construction safety and schedule. To replace the advanced small pipe with self drilling anchor bar is one of the ways to ensure the safety of tunnel construction and schedule.
