Chittagong -- Cox’s Bazar Railway Project in Bangladesh

On April 19, ECNEC of Bangladesh approved to construct Dohazari-Cox’s Bazar-Ghundum railway project to link with tourist area.
Overall length of this railway is 129 kilometers and it’s predicted to be invested 183 billion Taka (about 2.28 billion dollars). Bangladesh had also planned to incorporate it into the Trans-Asian Railway Network and connect with railways in India and Burma.
This project will be divided into two phrases: Dohazari to Cox’s Bazar and Ruma to Ghundum. The southeast of Bangladesh is port, terrain is hill, if constructing railway, tunnel and slope construction are inevitable. So to ensure safety, reinforcement and support method should be adopted.
Hollow anchor bolt support is an economical and efficient way for enhancing stability of geotechnical engineering. With novel structure, advanced technology, reliable quality, strong adaptability and good durability, hollow anchor bolt will have vast potential for future development. And it will become a mark for the progress of geotechnical technology in the world.
